Volunteer Openers and Closers Are Needed for the Following Weeks:
July 12 - 18 - Both Opener & Closer
August 2 - 8 - Opener
August 9 - 15 - Opener
August 23 - 29 - Closer
Openers Responsibilities:
Opening should occur by 8:00 AM
Unlock the main gate, the gate by the exterior door to the kitchen, men’s and women’s restroom exterior doors and the pool shed. The keys for the gate and shed are in the top left drawer in the island outside the kitchen.
Water testing for chlorine and pH levels should be done when opening the pool. The water testing kit is located in the pool shed. Please remember to record the numerical values of the chlorine, pH, water temp, date and time on the sheet that is located on the clip board to the left of the door as you enter the pool shed.
Leave the pool shed unlocked since the backboard and some first aid supplies are stored there.
Return the keys to the drawer in the island outside the kitchen.
Closers Responsibilities:
Closing should occur by 8:00 PM (sunset).
The keys for the gate and shed are in the top left drawer in the island outside the kitchen.
Make sure umbrellas are closed and secured.
If you see that the sky is black and the forecast is for storms to begin earlier and last throughout the night, don’t wait till 8:00 PM to close. If it is necessary to close the pool early due to weather, please use the sign indicating pool closure which is located in the pool shed. The sign is to be hung on the main pool gate in the event of early closure.
Lock the pool shed, pool gates, restroom doors and the kitchen door and return the keys to the top left drawer in the island outside the kitchen.
Pool Manager is available to hold refresher training on where things are located and water testing for those who may require it. If you are volunteering and feel training would be beneficial you can meet him at either opening or closing times during the first pool week or contact him for a time convenient for you. Training sessions last no more than 15 minutes.
