Winter Storm Alert & Preparation
Posted on Jan 30th, 2021
An active winter storm watch for Chester County is in effect from 10:00 AM on Sunday, January 31, 2021 until 6:00 AM Tuesday, February 2, 2021. orecasts indicate mostly snow with a possible mix of ice conditions on Sunday night, however, there is a strong possibility that the Honey Brook area may see only snow. Currently the plowable snow fall may range from 8-12 inches. The heaviest snow is likely to occur during Monday when rates could exceed 1 inch per hour at times. Wind speed may reach as high as 35-45 mph creating potential drifting, reduced visibility and hazardous travel conditions. We will continue to monitor the storm as it evolves and provide updates to the community as additional information becomes available to include the timing of snow removal from the community. Our snow contractor, Tricounty and the crew is on alert and will remain in close communication. Snow plowing will not commence until the storm has subsided.
Important Tips and Highlights for Storm Preparation:
- KHF Snow Procedures for 2020 – 2021 are located on our KHF website, please reference these procedures and abide by them. Everyone is encouraged as the storm approaches and be tuned in to updated eblasts via your email regarding any snow plowing updates.
- Whenever possible please remove your vehicles from the street and driveways PRIOR to the storm. The snow contractor cannot plow a driveway where a vehicle is present and impedes snow removal. Cars may be parked at the clubhouse on the far-right hand side of the parking area or on parking pads throughout the community.
- Any special requests by medical personal or first responders or special needs should be sent to myself (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Debbie Marchiano, property manager (email@example.com) PRIOR to the storm. We will do our best to accommodate all special requests and alert the snow contractor’s crew.
