Winter Weekend Storm Preparation
Posted on Jan 28th, 2022
Throughout Friday, January 28th we will experience snow showers with low amounts of snow accumulation. As per ReadyChesco our immediate area is under a high Winter Weather Advisory with dangerous wind chills for Saturday. The storm is predicted to intensify Friday evening into Saturday; however, it is unknown if significant snow fall will affect western Chester County.
A cautious approach to the storm is highly recommended for the KHF community. Please consider following recommendations today, Friday, in preparation for potentially more snowfall overnight Friday into Saturday morning.
1. Remove all cars from the street today to avoid any damage to vehicles and permit township plows to clear streets as necessary. It is possible that Honey Brook Township will plow streets throughout the day, Friday, due to the predicted snow showers.
2. Remove vehicles from residential driveways and park either on parking pads throughout the community or place your vehicle at the clubhouse parking lot to the far right of the parking lot.
3. If you are able, applying ice melt to driveways and walkways will enhance melting of light snow showers throughout Friday and decrease icy conditions on these areas.
We will continue to monitor the snow closely as it develops to keep you informed on the plan to commence snow removal if we receive >3 inches on Saturday. Currently it is anticipated that western Chester County could escape significant snowfalls as a sharp cutoff is likely but at this time remains a bit uncertain. No snow plowing of community driveways and walkways to residents’ front doors will occur until after the storm has ended.
