We have a number of things going on
Bocce We play twice a year, in the Spring and the Fall. Each season we field from eight to twelve teams of men and women (four to a team) who compete to have their names etched on the championship trophy which is displayed in the clubhouse.
FIRST FRIDAY SOCIALS Almost every first Friday of the month, we gather at the clubhouse for a social hour (or two or three). Frequently, there will be a theme associated with the evening but you can always count on a 50-50 to help defray expenses of the Social Committee.
LADIES LUNCHEONS A few times a year, the ladies of the community pick a great restaurant to visit and enjoy each other’s company.
MEN’S BREAKFAST CLUB Each Wednesday the men of Knob Hill head out bright and early (around 7:30) for their weekly breakfast gathering and some male-bonding at a local restaurant.
MEN’S GOLF There are approximately 14 residents who participate in our community run golf league. The men play an 18-hole competition every Wednesday at the Honey Brook Golf Course across the street from our community. In October, we have a season-ending golf banquet to award players for their on-course accomplishments during the season.
TRIPS Trips are scheduled to places such as the A.C. Casinos, Reading Phillies games, a New York Show or just about anywhere. All you have to do is suggest something and there’s a bus in the parking lot.
WATER AEROBICS As soon as the weather permits, and the water is warm enough, this three times a week activity begins at our community pool and goes through the summer months into September.
WOMEN’S GOLF There are a number of women in the community who play in a Women’s 9-Hole League on Thursday mornings. The ladies participate in spirited competitions and enjoy great comradarie. Their league culminates with a luncheon where many awards are presented.
OTHER ACTIVITIES In addition to the above, we have many other activities that are held on a regular, weekly basis at our clubhouse. We have a fully equipped exercise facility and great walking trails around the community. We have card clubs, book clubs, a quilting group and a fully stocked library. There’s even a stocked fishing pond in the community, for those who wish to fish or just sit and contemplate.
